This course is designed to improve the English ability of the students through literary appreciation and various language-training practices. One literary work will be chosen as the major text (Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller for the Fall term of 2018); topics on current social and cultural issues will be brought into class discussion to stimulate a back-and-forth collaborative leaning process. All the lectures and discussions will be conducted in English.
